Seeking Forgiveness Before Seeking God
Before we present ourselves to God, before we sit in His presence and make requests, we must first do something crucial: Ask for forgiveness.
Think about it—how do you think God feels when He gives us clear instructions, wisdom, and direction, but we go out into the world and ignore them—then come back to Him, acting like nothing happened, expecting Him to bless us?
It doesn’t please Him.
But here’s the good news—He is a God of grace and mercy. He gives us another chance.

That means none of us are perfect. We all need forgiveness.

Forgive Yourself & Move Forward
During this fast, as you empty yourself of distractions, cravings, and strongholds, also take the time to ask for forgiveness:
For the things you’ve done knowingly and unknowingly.
For the moments you didn’t trust Him.
For the times you put your own plans above His will.
And just as importantly—forgive yourself.
Don’t hold on to past mistakes. Yesterday is behind you. Tomorrow is not promised.
Focus on today—the day God has given you to get it right, to walk in His grace, and to step into His blessings.
