The Strength of Your Cry

Crying isn’t a weakness—it’s a release.
Crying isn’t a weakness—it’s a release.

As men, we often feel the pressure to be strong 24/7—like showing emotions somehow makes us weak. But even the strongest tire loses air over time, and if you don’t refill it, it will eventually burst. The same thing happens to us. We take on stress, pain, and pressure, refusing to release it, until one day, we reach our breaking point.

This is why fasting is so important.

Fasting creates a space where no one is judging you—it’s just you and God.

It's a time for Him to fill you back up, restore your strength, and regulate your internal pressure. And sometimes, the best way to release that weight is through tears.

The Power of Crying Out

Crying isn’t a weakness—it’s a release.

When you cry, you’re letting go of fear, frustration, anger, depression, and burdens that have been weighing you down. You don’t realize how much you’ve been holding onto until the tears start falling. And when they do, you feel lighter—freer.

The Bible shows us the power of crying out to God. In Isaiah 38, King Hezekiah was on his deathbed. The prophet Isaiah came to him with devastating news: “The Lord says you will not recover. You will die.”

Imagine hearing that.

But Hezekiah didn’t accept it. He turned to the wall, cried out to God, and reminded Him of his faithfulness. And what did God do? He saw Hezekiah’s tears and added 15 more years to his life.

That’s the power of crying out. If God responded to Hezekiah’s tears, don’t you think He will respond to yours?

Don’t Wait Until You Burst

Too many of us hold things in for too long, waiting until the pressure is unbearable.

But why wait until you’re broken?

Why hold onto pain when you have a Father who is ready to heal you?

Crying out isn’t about being weak—it’s about knowing where your help comes from.

So today, let go of whatever is holding you back. Find a quiet place, lift your hands, and release it all to God. He’s listening.

Reflection Prompt:

What burdens have you been carrying that you need to release?

When was the last time you truly cried out to God?

What’s stopping you from letting go?
