Who Comes First in Your Day?
I wake up early to research the markets for day trading. I check the news, the trends, the numbers—making sure I’m prepared.
Then one day, a light bulb went off—
💡 I don’t wake up early to spend time with God first.
💡 I don’t research His Word before starting my day.
💡 I’ve been putting Him second on my to-do list.
God is the Source—We Are the Resource
Ephesians 3:20 (NLT)"Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think."🔗 Read More
As Dr. Tony Evans wrote in The Power of God’s Names: God is the Source—we are just the resources He uses.
That news I’m reading?
That market strategy I’m researching?
That wisdom I think I have?
All of it comes from Him.
So, if I want to be blessed and covered in my day, I need to put Him first—
Before I check my phone.
Before I read the news.
Before I search for answers elsewhere.
God’s Grace Covers Us—Even When We Forget Him
Here’s the amazing part—
Even though I’ve put Him second, He still blesses me anyway.
He still provides.
🔹 He still covers me.
🔹 He still makes a way—even when I don’t deserve it.
That’s why my prayers start with an apology—AND adoration. Because He loves us far beyond how we treat Him.
Let’s Change Our Routine
Today, let’s shift the way we start our day.
Before you grab your phone, grab your Bible.
Before you scroll, seek Him first.
Before you research, receive from Him.
Because He is our Source—everything else is just a resource.
Let’s E.A.T. and get prepared for the day ahead.
